The Karagheusian Center Breaks Ground for New Headquarters in Armenia
New York, NY –July 4, 2024 – A festive celebration and groundbreaking ceremony for the new Karagheusian Center (Howard Karagheusian Medical Benevolent Public Organization, HKMBPO, Armenia) took place in Yerevan, Armenia on June 3, 2024, in the presence of the top leadership of the country, the Center’s countrywide staff, and the principal donor, the Karagheusian Foundation.
“We are living in a historic moment, the groundbreaking of the Howard Karagheusian Benevolent Public Organization’s (HKMBPO, Armenia) new headquarters in Yerevan, Armenia,” states Irina Lazarian who joined the celebration on behalf of Karagheusian Foundation, the principal donor of the project.
“It echoes the significance of Leilavan, the housing project initiated in 1972 in Lebanon. To that end, we wish a success to the entire team for embarking on this transformative journey.”
This state-of-the-art facility will elevate the highest standard of health care and social services for needy children to the new level.

The Howard Karagheusian Commemorative Corporation (Karagheusian Foundation) is a charitable organization founded in New York City in 1921. It provides funds to the HKMBPO and the Karagheusian Association for Child Welfare to provide specialized assistance for Armenians in need.
